Providing Climate Risk Guidance to your Client

What is ClimateIndex™?

ClimateIndex™ is a weighted sum model that gives an overall score for physical climate impacts to a property. It projects changes in physical risks from flooding, natural ground instability and coastal erosion. It also provides a rating of future climate risk of the property, based on Bank of England/PRA guidelines.

ClimateIndex™ gives an explanation of the variance between these ratings, to show the change between time periods. It also provides a property level assessment and access to further guidance and support on how to advise your client.

Everything you need to know about ClimateIndex™

In this video, Product Manager, Steve Watt, talks through everything you need to know about ClimateIndex™- a risk assessment that provides data and guidance about projected physical and transition risks directly related to climate change.

We have produced a detailed and handy guide to ClimateIndex™ by answering some of the typical questions that conveyancers have about the analysis module.

Use our Client Care Clauses Today

Following the Stephen Tromans KC legal opinion and the publication of the Law Society Guidance on Climate Risks, it is important that conveyancers feel armed with the tools to be able to translate the results from our ClimateIndex™ analysis to actionable advice. We have developed specific clauses that you can insert into your client advisory and Report on Title to lenders, to make the process as smooth as possible.
