Teeing Off for a Worthy Cause: Groundsure Supports the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity Golf Day

On Friday 23rd May, the Groundsure team swapped their desks for the fairway, taking part in the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity Golf Day 2025 at the beautiful Mid Sussex Golf Club. Representing Groundsure were Josh Helmsley, Stuart Telfer, Dominic Tubb, and Nick – partner of our colleague Laura Clark. Spirits were high, the weather was glorious, competition was friendly, and all in attendance were united by a common goal: to support a fantastic cause.

While the team didn’t quite find themselves on the podium plenty of laughs were had and memories made throughout the day. More importantly, the event helped raise an incredible £8,343 for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

Founded in 1967, Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. The charity plays a vital role in providing life-saving medical equipment, specialist services, and enhanced support for sick children and babies across Sussex. They focus on projects that improve both treatment and the hospital experience for young patients and their families, many of whom are facing incredibly difficult challenges.

The charity’s current focus is raising funds for a brand-new Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) machine for the children’s Emergency Department at The Alex. For staff working at the sharp end of children’s healthcare, being able to quickly and accurately assess a child’s condition is incredibly important and this machine can save valuable minutes in diagnosis. This can make all the difference when it comes to correct treatment and potential outcomes. Every swing of the club on Friday helped contribute to Rockinghorse’s ongoing mission to ensure children receive the very best care possible. Groundsure is proud to support such a remarkable charity, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in an event that makes a real difference.
