Aster’s story

Within the four years I’ve been working at Groundsure, my experience has been that of an incredible community of colleagues - they not only support you in your role, but they’re genuinely lovely people too.

I joined Groundsure in 2021 as Customer Support Associate and I’ve worked my way upwards to my current role of Customer Support Deputy Manager. The potential for career growth and progression within Groundsure was made clear (and encouraged) from day one. The team supports you from your first day – so for those wishing to develop their careers, there’s plenty of potential.

We’re encouraged to develop the skills needed in our roles, and also those (skills) that improve our personal development. When I first started at Groundsure, I had no experience or skills in public speaking. I’ve now gone from nothing – to having the confidence and experience of co-hosting the annual Groundsure conference in 2025! This is something I would never have thought possible 4 years ago, when I started.

The variety of work within my role keeps things interesting and exciting – for example, one day I can be dealing with a complex customer query, such as air quality or utility searches, and the next day I can be presenting to my colleagues about our role within the business, or meeting clients at our annual Thames Boat Cruise.
