Chief Executive Officer
Malcom joined Groundsure in 2007 as Head of Sales and became CEO in 2024. He provides strategic leadership by defining Groundsure’s vision, mission and long term strategy to drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
Through operational oversight, Malcolm ensures efficient execution of business plans, effective resource management, and strong performance across senior leadership. Central to the role is stakeholder management; building trust and maintaining alignment with the board, investors, employees, customers, and partners to support the organisation’s continued success.
Chief Technology Officer
Julian joined Groundsure in 2016 as Head of Development and progressed his career becoming Chief Technology Officer in 2019. Julian oversees our team of developers, IT and other technical roles. Day to day he is responsible for delivering software solutions, managing the infrastructure that underpins our business and ensures we build the best products and services for our clients.

Chief Operations Officer
Stuart joined Groundsure in 2004 as Technical Support Manager and was promoted to Chief Operations Officer in 2024. Stuart has overarching responsibility for over 50 people from multiple teams including GIS, Consultancy, Geology and Operations. He manages our extensive supplier and partner relationships, as well as having overall responsibility for driving continual efficiency improvements across his departments alongside supporting the overall growth of the business.
Chief Financial Officer
Jonathan joined Groundsure in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all of Groundsure’s financial activities including compliance, reporting and stakeholder management with investors and the board. He also sets the company’s financial targets which support the development of Groundsure’s strategy.
Customer Engagement Director
Catherine joined Groundsure in 2011 as a GIS Technician and has taken on various roles before becoming Customer Engagement Director in 2025. As Customer Engagement Director, Catherine is responsible for Groundsure’s marketing, customer support and technical communications teams. She has overall responsibility for developing and executing strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty and brand advocacy across all Groundsure markets.
Head of Finance
Jane joined Groundsure (previously known as Mining Searches UK) in 2015 as Finance Manager and became Head of Finance in 2021. As Head of Finance Jane is responsible for all the financial activities including implementing Groundsure’s financial strategy in alignment with our goals. She supports the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to set financial targets for the year.
Consultancy Director
Ceri joined Groundsure in 2015 initially as a contractor in our Projects team before becoming full time and taking on her current role as Consultancy Director in 2020. As Consultancy Director, Ceri manages three teams – Consultancy, Mining Searches and Geology across our two offices in Brighton and Cornwall. She oversees the delivery of our environmental and mining searches and the follow on services we offer our customers. Ceri oversees Groundsure’s Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and is responsible for our B Corp Certification process.
Product Director
Dominic first joined Groundsure in 2011 as a GIS Technician. He took a brief hiatus from the business in late 2021 before returning in 2023 as Product Director. In his current role, Dominic is responsible for Groundsure’s product managers, designers, data engineers, scientists and researchers. He oversees our product strategy and direction across all existing markets as well as identifying potential new ones. His customer centric ethos ensures we are delivering real solutions to cater to our clients and stakeholders requirements.
Delivery Director
Emma joined Groundsure in 2013 as Service Delivery Assistant and became Delivery Director in 2023. As Delivery Director she oversees delivery of key strategic and operational projects. She has a ruthless focus on planning, prioritisation, governance and continuous improvement. She works with cross functional teams and the wider organisation and leads and coaches on agile methodologies.
Sales Director
Gary joined Groundsure in 2007 as Business Development Manager and has progressed his career to his current role as Sales Director. Since becoming Sales Director in 2020, Gary is now responsible for both the Searches and Insights divisions of Groundsure. He oversees the sales budget, customer contracts, pricing negotiations and our strategic relationships across the business.
Executive Assistant
Jacquie joined Groundsure in 2021 as Executive Assistant. She is responsible for supporting the CEO and C-Suite team, as well as the wider leadership team with business and travel arrangements, organising our weekly Exec meetings and our regular strategy off-sites. Jacquie is also Chair of the Groundsure Community Team who work closely with all employees on various charitable initiatives throughout the year.
