Groundsure is pleased to confirm today its role as a founding member of the new conveyancing search industry trade body, the Conveyancing Information Executive (CIE).
Along with the other founding partners, Groundsure has launched the new trade body in order to continue to progress professional standards surrounding conveyancing searches and the data used within them.
The founding members of CIE share a philosophy that data provenance, quality, completeness, integrity and transparency are all hugely important for stakeholder confidence in the products that we create containing large and sometimes complex datasets.
The CIE is underpinned by the CIE Standards, a Code of Practice and a series of Practice Notes governing core conveyancing search products. The CIE has arranged for The Property Ombudsman to provide a comprehensive customer redress mechanism underlining our commitment to upholding the highest possible standards.
CIE Members producing search and related products adhering to the CIE Standards will display the CIE logo on them as a recognisable seal of quality.
