Reports to:

Key Purpose:

  • Lead the creation and delivery of benefit led product propositions to support Groundsure’s marketing activity to maximise revenue and market share goals for its Searches and Insights business
  • Work closely with product, sales, resellers and key partnerships, including other Ascential businesses, to ensure wider market forces and customer insight is included in all product developments
  • Own the development of a powerful, consistent Groundsure and product brands operating as part of a high performing marketing team able to flex across all marketing channels including online and social
  • Innovative product thinker with a clear and organised approach to profitable product and feature development
  • Strong business understanding with a proven ability to deliver products, benefits and marketing content that results in profitable revenue growth and market share gains
  • Familiar with developing thought leadership through internal and external communications channels based on powerful product propositions
  • Clear results focus with an open communication style to ensure the business is engaged and informed

Key Accountabilities:

  • Customer champion who ensures that the customer is at the heart of product and marketing decisions
  • Responsible for ensuring that the brand and propositional elements are fully integrated and complimentary to the product roadmap for both Searches and Insights
  • Leading and supporting agile processes and iterative enhancements on time and quickly to recovers investments
  • Contributing to improvements in the way product, marketing, sales and technical delivery are co-ordinated and planned to optimise the delivery and success of launches and product sales
  • Planning and management of internal team resources and external agencies to ensure brand excellence and engaging propositions
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of product and marketing achievement

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a product marketing manager within a B2B environment including responsibility for or involvement in pricing review
  • Experience creating and contributing to high performance teams
  • Experience working with an ambitious sales team to deliver aggressive growth targets / revenue increases
  • Proven expertise as a customer champion making a significant contribution to the design and successful launch of new products ideally utilising agile/lean product development techniques, rapid prototyping and ‘getting out of the building’.
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant subject

  • Highly commercially literate. Able to budget, forecast, sell – when necessary – you are the commercial heart of the product and know its inner workings by heart

  • Broad knowledge of technology and find the idea of location data fascinating – specialisation is less important than innate curiosity and a desire to build customer-centric solutions.
