LFS Conveyancing Awards 2017

From the Big to the Small,  the LFS Conveyancing Awards are open to all Law Firms and there are categories to suit every size of business.  Here’s what it meant to two of last year’s winners……

Valerie Holmes, Winner of Best Small Conveyancer, North 2016

As a small office in Yorkshire, we thought that we wouldn’t be able to contend with the big law firms. However, we decided to apply for Best Small Conveyancer, as we knew that even if we only made it to be finalists, we could get some positive PR. We don’t have a large marketing budget for advertising, so any PR coverage we could secure would be great. Putting together the application form gave us a boost and made us realise that we are doing  lots of things really well. Being announced as finalists was a celebration for the whole team and helped engage staff and clients even more. We went to the Awards Ceremony already pleased with the coverage we had received, so to be announced as “winners” was brilliant! We realised that we could use our success to raise awareness of our company and it was lovely to hear clients walking in and asking for a quote after they had seen an article in the local paper. If you’re a small law firm who doesn’t have thousands of pounds to spend on advertising, the leverage you can get from PR and the relatively small amount of time and money in applying, is a sound business strategy. Valerie Holmes, Property Lawyer

Howells, Best Regional, Best Direct & Best Overall Conveyancing Firm 2016

To win our Regional Award at the LFS Conference 2016 and then to go on to win the Best Direct and Best Overall Conveyancing Firm Award was a huge accolade to the team at Howells. The feedback we received from the mystery shopping element was also very useful as we pride ourselves in selling prospective clients our service and not just our fee. We now use the LFS winners logos to market ourselves on Facebook, twitter and in traditional property publications. As a result, we have seen a direct increase in business. Mark Hobbs, MD
