Residential Searches
GroundSure has provided market leading residential environmental searches since the introduction of the Law Society Warning Card on Contaminated Land in 2001. We are the only providers of combined environmental and flood risk searches.
The Law Society Warning Card was introduced to provide conveyancing solicitors with clear guidance on their client obligations with regard to potential liabilities under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
GroundSure is the only provider of environmental searches where both the data content and professional opinion are delivered by a single company under a single set of terms and conditions backed by a single Professional Indemnity Insurance policy, thus providing the client with the most robust and complete recourse possible.
Of key importance in the delivery of residential environmental searches is the quality of data used to drive risk algorithms embedded within the reporting format. GroundSure has developed the highest quality Historical Land Use Database for just this purpose. The GroundSure HLUD comprises risk rankings for nearly 7,000 historical land use activities - a level of detail unavailable outside of GroundSure.
GroundSure is also the only provider of low cost residential environmental searches where "Further Assessment" reports are reviewed by GroundSure Environmental Consultants prior to issuing the report to the client. The net effect is to substantially reduce the proportion of reports where "Further Assessment" is required or deemed to be required.
