GroundSure Launches FloodInsight

Flood risk is an increasingly important and significant area for the environmental consultancy sector. Increasing awareness of flood risk issues and more importantly formalisation of technical guidance and legislation look set to ensure that flood risk will become a growth area for Environmental Consultants for years to come. The recent 2010 Flood and Water Management Act is a good example of this where various issues and shortcomings associated with existing guidance and legislation, as highlighted by the Pitt Review, are addressed such as regulatory responsibility for flood risk and the promotion of sustainable drainage solutions in new development schemes.
